The Wall of She brings together artists whose work draws on personal history, bodily experience and collective memory. Moving across painting, sculpture, performance, video and installation, the exhibition is shaped by a shared trust in process. Attention and intuition guide the act of making, as control and release alternate throughout the works. 

Themes of femininity, migration, identity and power run through the different practices as underlying currents. Rather than appearing as fixed subjects, they emerge through material choices, image-making and the ways the works address the viewer. The Wall of She thus creates a space in which artists look not only at history and at themselves, but also at one another.

De figuren zijn geïnspireerd op de mythe van Jeanne le Blanc, een van de protagonisten uit de video Fit before fifty.

Over Fit before fifty: Een mentale en fysieke en roadtrip vertelt door Compas intérieure: Het innerlijk compas in de vorm van een smartwatch om de pols van gids Geoffrey. Ze reizen een ronde om de berg la Roche (FR) en bezichtigen de grot van Jeanne le Blanc waar zich een mythe afspeelde die de plaatselijke bewoners zich nog maar deels herinneren. Geoffrey besluit de mythe verder af te maken en om Jeanne te volgen, maar verdwaald hopeloos tegen de klok in. In een verwoede poging om weer grip op de route te krijgen en het hoofd niet te verliezen, sporten Geoffrey én Jeanne zich een steen in de ronde.
